The Greenhouse (UCLA)

food: 5/5
experience: 4/5
overall: 4/5

UCLA's student union has a little cafeteria/food court upstairs and if you want some fresh food, you come to the Greenhouse for lunch. They've got a full salad bar, complete with all the fixin's, including the elusive hearts of palm! I never find these at salad bars but they've got it, along with fresh berries and hot food.

I kept it simple with a small salad. They charge 76 cents an ounce, which works out to about twelve bucks a pound. A little steep if you ask me. Even Whole Foods is cheaper. But the price you pay for convenience, eh? They also have a hot bar (fresh garlic bread!) as well a few soups to choose from.

If you do decide to partake in the hot bar, know that the UCLA campus is huge enough to get lost in that you can easily burn off... well, probably not even half of it. But it's good food and that's all that matters in this short life.
